Madeleine before her death was served as 64th United States Secretary of State from the year 1997 to 2001 under then-president Clinton. According to history, she was the first female secretary of state in U. S history.

Madeleine’s early life indicates that she is the daughter of Josef Korbel a Czech diplomat. Her family together with her were immigrants from Czechoslovakia and came to the United States in the year 1948. Madeleine became a U. S citizen in the year 1967. She went to Wellesley College in the year 1959.

She was an assistant to one senator Edmund Muskie and through that got a position where she was working under one Zbigniew Brzezinski in the National Security Council.
