Mekapati Goutham Reddy was an Indian businessman and politician. He was the Minister for Industries, Commerce, and Information Technology in the Government of Andhra Pradesh. He was a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly representing the Atmakur (Assembly Constituency) on behalf of the YSR Congress Party.
Mekapati, born on 2 November 1971, died on 21 February 2022 aged 50. His demise happened at Hyderabad Telangana, Telangana, India. He was in office from 2014 till his passing in 2022. He had an MSc from the University of Manchester.
He had his initial college education in Badruka College, Hyderabad before going to Manchester for his masters in Apparel and Textiles from 1994 to 1997. He and his family had numerous companies that operate in road construction, real estate and infrastructure sectors.

He is survived by his wife Srikeerthi and two children. He also had two brothers, Prithvi Kumar Reddy and Vikram Reddy. His father, Rajamohan Reddy was also a politician (former member of parliament of Nellore Lok Sabha Constituency).

Mekapati was married to Srikeerthi with whom he had two children, a daughter and a son. The daughter who is the elder of the two children is Ananya Reddy and the son who is the younger of the two is called Arjun Reddy.
