Mosharraf Hossain was a Bangladeshi cricketer. He was a left-handed batsman and slow left-arm orthodox bowler. He had played five One Day International (ODI) matches for Bangladesh.
In the 2001-02 season, he made his first-class debut for the Dhaka division. He was named for the home ODI series against South Africa in March 2008.
Mosharraf appeared in all of the matches but did not contribute significantly, resulting in his expulsion from the national team.
Later that year, Hossain and 12 other players competed for the Dhaka Warriors in the Indian Cricket League’s rebel T20 league.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board has banned all players since the league was not sanctioned by the International Cricket Council. After the players abandoned the ICL in 2009, the BCB removed the ban, allowing Mosharraf to return to first-class cricket in 2010.
Mosharraf was the man of the match in the all-important final against Chittagong in the 2013 Bangladesh Premier League.
He ended his four overs with stats of 3/26 for the Dhaka Gladiators. After the BPL inquiry, he was banned for eight months but was later cleared of any wrongdoing.
