Nate Pearson, born Nathan Alexander Pearson is a professional baseball pitcher who was born in August 1996 in Odessa, Florida in the United States of America to Dave Pearson and Elaine Pearson.
Nate started playing baseball in high school at Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School in Spring Hill, Florida. He then went ahead to the Florida International University (FIU) where he played college baseball for the FIU Panthers baseball team.
After a year of being at FIU, Nate got a transfer to the College of Central Florida where he continued to play baseball and was honoured to be named the JUCO Pitcher of the Year by Perfect Game.
In 2017, he was considered one of the top prospects for the 2017 MLB draft and he was selected in the 28th overall selection by the Toronto Blue Jays. He signed with the Jays in June 2017 and earned a $2.45 million signing bonus.
In the beginning, he was assigned to the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League Blue Jays and was soon promoted to the Short Season-A Vancouver Canadians. He missed the 2018 season due to an injury so he was placed on the disabled list. Nate made his MLB debut on July 29, 2020, for the Toronto Blue Jays team.
