Nicholas Michael Pratto (born October 6, 1998) is a first baseman for the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball.
In the 2011 Little League World Series title game versus Japan, Pratto hit a walk-off single for Huntington Beach. He represented Team USA in the 18U Baseball World Cup in 2015.
Pratto was regarded as one of the most promising prospects in the 2017 Major League Baseball draft. The Kansas City Royals picked him with the 14th overall choice in the draft.
He signed with the Arizona League Royals and made his professional debut there, batting.247 with four home runs, 34 RBIs, and ten stolen bases in 52 games.
In 127 games with the Lexington Legends in 2018, he hit.280/.343/.443 with 14 home runs, 62 RBIs, and 22 stolen bases.
Pratto played for the Wilmington Blue Rocks in 2019. He slashed in 124 games. With nine home runs and 46 RBIs, he hit 191/.278/.310. Pratto did not appear in a game in 2020 since the minor league season was canceled due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
He joined the Northwest Arkansas Naturals in 2021. Pratto was chosen to participate in the All-Star Futures Game in June.
In mid-July, he was promoted to the Omaha Storm Chasers. Pratto hit.265/.385/.602 with 36 home runs, 98 RBIs, 28 doubles, and 12 stolen bases in 124 games between the two clubs.
Behind teammate MJ Melendez, he has 36 home runs in the lower levels. On November 19, 2021, Pratto was added to the 40-man roster after the season.
