Philips Valdez is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played in MLB for the Texas Rangers.

Valdéz was chosen free organization after the 2018 season and on December 21, 2018, he marked a small-time agreement with the Texas Rangers.

He was relegated to the Nashville Sounds to open the 2019 season. With Nashville in 2019, he went 1-7 with a 4.92 ERA over 78+2⁄3 innings.

On June 8, Valdéz had his agreement chosen and he was called up to the significant associations interestingly, as the 26th man of a doubleheader versus the Oakland Athletics.

He made his debut that evening, tossing two scoreless innings in help.
