René Pinto, full name René Rafael Pinto is a Venezuelan professional baseball player who plays for the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team of the Major League Baseball (MLB) and positions as their catcher.
René was born November 2, 1996, in Maracay, Venezuela. The 25-year-old player was signed to the Tampa Bay Rays team as an international free agent on 1st October 2013.
During the 2014/2015 baseball season, René played baseball for the Venezuelan Summer League Rays where he made a hitting of .264/.318/.347/.666 with 1 home run and 11 RBI in 2014 and .323/.379/.552/.931 with 6 home runs and 38 RBI in 2015.
In 2016, he divided the season into two and played for the GCL Rays and the Princeton Rays and made a combined hit of .262/.304/.483/.788 with 8 home runs and 28 RBI.
René again divided the 2017 baseball season between the GCL Rays and the Bowling Green Hot Rods team. He achieved a combined hitting of .290/.339/.396/.734 with 3 home runs and 39 RBI.
He played with the Montgomery Biscuits team in the 2019 baseball season. In 202, there was no game for him as the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
The Tampa Bay Rays selected Pinto’s contract to the 40-man roster in November 2021. René is not married and is not dating anyone.
