Roman Kutuzov

Roman Vladimirovich Kutuzov was a Russian Major General who was killed in combat during the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

The 38th Separate Communications Regiment of Russian Airborne Forces was Kutuzov’s regiment, and he was a colonel in the Russian Armed Forces (military unit 54164).

A year later, he was named interim commander of the Army’s Fifth Armored Division. He served as acting commander of the 29th Combined Arms Army for the entire year of 2019.

By the year 2020, Kutuzov had risen through the ranks to become the 29th Combined Arms Army’s chief of staff. Until his death on June 5, 2022, Kutuzov was the commander of the 1st Army Corps in Donetsk.

During the battle for Severdonetsk-Lysychansky in Ukraine, he was assassinated. The fighting spread across the country.

The first to announce his death was the Russian military blog Telegram Group, which was later verified by Russian state-run media.

According to a Soviet military official, “He became recognized as someone who much appreciated Mr Zhukov’s methods.”

The two brigades sent by General Kutuzov, he claimed, had suffered severe losses, and he had no alternative but to assist the attack himself.
