Ryan Brasier is an American professional baseball player who plays as a pitcher for the Boston Red Sox baseball team of the Major League Baseball(MLB).
Ryan was born on August 26, 1987, in Wichita Falls, Texas, United States. He had his high school career and education at Rider High School in Wichita Falls, Texas and for his college career, he had it at the Weatherford College in Weatherford, Texas.
In 2007, the Los Angeles Angels baseball team selected him during the sixth round of the 2007 MLB draft. He played for the team from 2007 through to 2013 where he pitched in a number of the Angels nursery teams. In the nursery teams, they provide experience and training for young players.
Ryan was promoted to the major leagues for the first time in May 2013 and made his MLB debut the next day with the Angels. From July 2015 to 2016, he signed a minor-league deal with the Oakland Athletics baseball team. His contract with the Athletics was sold to the Hiroshima Toyo Carp of Nippon Professional Baseball in December 2016.
In March 2018, the Boston Red Sox signed Ryan into their team and in July that same year, they promoted him to the major leagues and he made his debut the next day.
