Stephen Thomas Ridings, born on August 14, 1995, in Commack, New York is an American professional baseball pitcher for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball (MLB). In 2021, he made his MLB debut.

Ridings graduated from St. Anthony’s High School in South Huntington, New York, and went on to Haverford College to play baseball. The Chicago Cubs selected him in the eighth round of the 2016 MLB draft.

After the 2020 minor league season was cancelled, Stephen worked out on his own, earning his bills by selling sports equipment and teaching chemistry as a substitute teacher at the Palm Beach Maritime Academy in Lantana, Florida.

The Cubs traded him to the Kansas City Royals for Donnie Drewes on March 9, 2019. Ridings was published by the Royals in November 2020. Prior to the 2021 season, he signed a minor league contract with the New York Yankees.

Ridings struck out three batters and allowed one hit in his debut. It was only the second time three pitchers debuted in the same game for the Yankees. Ridings pitched to a 1.80 ERA in five appearances with the big league club before being returned to Scranton.
