Taylor Walls, born Davis Taylor Walls is an American professional baseball shortstop who plays for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball(MLB). Taylor was born July 10, 1996, in Americus, Georgia, United States of America.

In May 2021, he made his MLB debut for the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team. He began his high school career at Crisp County High school in Cordele, Georgia, USA. He played baseball throughout high school and made quite impressive hits while pitching.

After high school, Taylor enrolled at Florida State University where he played college baseball. As a freshman, he was able to earn a starting spot in the University’s baseball team and played all FSU’s games.

In 2016, his performance greatly improved which made him earn All-ACC Second Team awards. After that baseball season, he was selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in the third round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft.

Due to the cancellation of the minor league season in 2020 caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Taylor did not play a minor league game. Thankfully, on November 20, 2020, he was added to the Rays 40-man roster.

Taylor was promoted to the major leagues for the first time in May 2021. He is married to Hallie and the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, in April 2021.
