Davis Taylor Walls is a Major League Baseball shortstop for the Tampa Bay Rays in the United States.

Walls was a baseball player for Crisp County High School in Cordele, Georgia. In his senior year of 2014, he hit over.400 and pitched to a 0.70 ERA.

Walls went to Florida State University and played collegiate baseball after going undrafted in the 2014 Major League Baseball draft.

Walls won a starting spot as a freshman at Florida State in 2015, starting all 65 of the Seminoles’ games while hitting.220 with 22 RBIs and seven stolen bases.

Walls slashed.355/.479/.516 as a sophomore in 2016, garnering All-ACC Second Team honors with six home runs, 46 RBIs, and 14 stolen bases in 63 starts.

Walls started 68 of FSU’s 69 games during his junior season, hitting.273 with eight home runs and 47 RBIs. Walls was drafted in the third round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft by the Tampa Bay Rays following the season

Walls signed with the Rays and made his professional debut with the Hudson Valley Renegades of the New York–Penn League’s Class A Short Season, batting.213 with one home run in 46 games.
