Thomas(Tom) Colicchio is a well-known celebrity chef who owns several restaurants throughout the United States of America, most especially in New York City.

Chef Tom was born and raised in New Jersey, in a town called Elizabeth. He was born on August 15, 1962, and had most of his education in his hometown. He attended Elizabeth High school and graduated in 1980.

Tom partnered with Danny Meyer in 1994 to open the very popular restaurant, the Gramercy Tavern which was situated in the Gramercy Park neighbourhood of Manhattan. The duo operated the restaurant till in 2006 Tom sold his shares and left the restaurant for good.

In 2001 whiles still working at Gramercy Tavern, Tom opened the very first Craft restaurant just close to the Gramercy Tavern and after the September 11 attack, Tom made it his duty to cook and serve food to those who were on a rescue mission at Ground Zero.

In 2010, the James Beard Foundation awarded him with the Outstanding Chef award. Tom has also been serving as a judge on the popular cook TV show, Top Chef. He has been a part of the program since its inception in 2006.
