Stephen Ridings is an American professional baseball pitcher for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2021.

Ridings went to St. Anthony’s High School in South Huntington, New York. He also played school baseball at Haverford College. He was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the eighth round of the 2016 MLB draft.

On March 9, 2019, the Cubs exchanged him to the Kansas City Royals for Donnie Dewees. The Royals delivered Ridings in November 2020.

Ridings signed a small-time agreement with the New York Yankees preceding the 2021 season.

On July 21, while pitching for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, he joined Luis Gil and Reggie McClain to toss a no-hitter.

Ridings made his significant association debut on August 3, 2021, in which he struck out three hitters and permitted one hit.

Luis Gil began the game and Brody Koerner likewise pitched. It was just the second time that three pitchers appeared in a similar game for the Yankees, already happening on September 26, 1950.

What Happened to Stephen Ridings?

On March 9, 2019, the Cubs traded him to the Kansas City Royals for Donnie Dewees. The Royals released Ridings in November 2020. Ridings signed a minor league contract with the New York Yankees prior to the 2021 season.
