Brett Maverick Phillips is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball. He previously played in MLB for the Milwaukee Brewers and Kansas City Royals.
Born on May 30, 1994 (age 27 years), in Seminole, Florida, in the United States of America , Brett began his high school education at the Seminole High School in Seminole, Florida where he graduated in 2012.
Philip was selected by the Houston Astros in the sixth round of the 2012 MLB draft and decided play in the MLB instead of playing college football for North Carolina State University.
On August 27, 2020, the Royals traded Phillips to the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for Lucius Fox. He was activated on September 4, making his Rays debut as a pinch-runner in a 5-4 victory over the Miami Marlins.
