The two fugitives were apprehended in Evansville, Indiana, after a car pursuit that ended in an accident, according to officials. Vicky White shot herself and was transferred to a hospital, where she subsequently died, according to officials.

Casey White is still being held. “Today, we took a dangerous individual off the street.” He will never see the light of day again. That is beneficial to more than just our community. “That’s a fantastic thing for our country,” stated Rick Singleton, sheriff of Lauderdale County, Alabama.

Vicky White, the deputy director of prisons at the Lauderdale County jail, reportedly assisted in the escape of Casey White, who was awaiting trial in a capital murder case, and the two had been the subject of a worldwide manhunt since 29 April.

Vicky White had informed coworkers that she was escorting the prisoner from the jail to the courts for a mental health examination, but the two instead fled the scene.
