The brother of Cleveland Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, was discovered dead in Hampton, Virginia, and authorities are investigating his death as a homicide.
According to sources, at 9:57 a.m. Tuesday, Hampton’s public safety communications center got a report concerning a deceased individual in the 400 block of Lake Tower Drive. When officials from the Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue arrived at the site, they discovered Joshua Owusu-Koramoah and traces of a fire inside the property.
According to sources, the manner and cause of death are still being investigated. Drew Barker, a former Bethel High School football teammate of Joshua Owusu-Koramoah, told the Virginian Pilot that he was supposed to meet his friend at a Cracker Barrel in Hampton at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Barker told the newspaper that he became worried when Joshua Owusu-Koramoah failed to arrive on time. At William & Mary, Owusu-Koramoah was a reserve linebacker who also studied chemistry. According to the newspaper, he was a science teacher at Hampton Christian High School.
Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, 22, played at Notre Dame and was a Browns second-round pick in 2021. As a rookie, he appeared in 14 games (10 starts).
