Where did Lucas Luetge go to College?
Lucas Luetge attended Rice University and San Jacinto College: Central Campus for his college education. He graduated from Bellville High School in Bellville, Texas, and went on to Rice University, where he was a member of the Rice Owls baseball team. Lucas Lester Luetge is a Major League Baseball pitcher who currently pitches for the New York Yankees (MLB). He formerly played for the Seattle Mariners in Major League Baseball.
Luetge was taken in the Rule 5 Draft by the Seattle Mariners on December 8, 2011. On November 17, 2015, he signed a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Angels organization. After that, he signed a minor league contract with the Cincinnati Reds. On November 25, 2016, the Reds released Luetge.
Luetge signed a minor league agreement with the Arizona Diamondbacks on February 4, 2019. In 2019, he tied for the most games pitched in the minor minors with 55. Luetge opted for free agency on November 7, 2019, after splitting the season between the Double-A Jackson Generals and the Triple-A Reno Aces.
On November 25, 2019, Luetge signed a minor league contract with the Oakland Athletics, which included an invitation to major league spring training. Luetge finally signed a minor league contract with the New York Yankees for the 2021 season and was invited to spring training as a non-roster player.
