Alec Bohm is an American professional baseball third baseman for the Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Bohm’s school baseball career at Wichita State started when he hit a grand slam in his first at-bat.
Throughout the span of their school careers, Bohm and outfielder Greyson Jenista got the moniker “The Bash Brothers” from their partners, a reference to their individual hostile capacities.
Bohm frequently batted third in the setup, after leadoff hitter Luke Ritter and Jenista.
Bohm batted .303, with six grand slams and 30 runs batted in (RBIs), enough to get first-team Freshman All-American distinctions from Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.
That late spring, he played for the Wilmington Sharks of the Coastal Plain League (CPL), where he both showed up in the CPL All-Star Game and crushed Dillon Stewart in the grand slam derby.
In 54 games with Wilmington, Bohm batted .330, with 11 home runs and 51 RBIs, and Baseball America named him the main possibility in the CPL.
