Robert Vernon Dalbec, known in baseball as Bobby Dalbec is a professional baseball who plays for the Boston Red Sox baseball team as a corner infielder.
He was born June 29, 1995, in Seattle, Washington, United State of America. Bobby began his amateur baseball career in high school. He attended Legend High School in Parker, Colorado. He was positioned as a shortstop and a pitcher.
After high school, he gained admission into the University of Arizona. He continued his career in baseball at the University by playing college baseball for the Arizona Wildcats as a third baseman, first baseman, and relief pitcher.
In his freshman year in college, Bobby took part in the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s home run derby. He finished his freshman year in 2014 and played collegiate summer baseball for the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL).
During the fourth round of the 2016 MLB draft, Bobby was chosen by the Boston Red Sox team and signed with them upon which he was to receive a $650,000 signing bonus.
Bobby was added to the Bostons 40-man roster when the 2019 baseball season was over. In August 2020, the Bostons promoted him and added him to their active roster. He also made his MLB debut with the Bostons the same day he was put on their active roster.
