Who Is Kevin Olaeta (Dr. Pimple Popper)?

For more than six years, Kevin Oleta, a patient on the show, has been dealing with a big cyst on his jawline.

Kevin frequently used his hair to try to camouflage the lump. It did not, however, contribute to boosting his self-esteem.

In his appearance on the show, Kevin admitted that going on dates was difficult because he was afraid to initiate a conversation. Fortunately, Dr. Lee was able to surgically remove the large cyst off his face.

Many situations have been dealt with by Dr. Pimple Popper,  Sandra Lee. There are a few who go on to unexpected destinations following appearances on the show.

When Kevin initially appeared on the show, he quickly became a fan favorite.

What Happened to Kevin Olaeta (Dr. Pimple Popper)?

Sadly, Kevin died just a few months after filming for the series. He died calmly in his sleep from tachycardia and an enlarged heart.

“In Loving Memory of Kevin Olaeta 1988-2019,” read the end credit for TLC’s homage to the patient. Also, Dr. Lee paid tribute to her patient on Instagram, writing:

“RIP Kevin… Kevin went suddenly unexpectedly months after our recording session. I only learned of his death a few months later. “Sending love and strength to his loved ones, especially his father.”
