The American media space has lost a gem who goes by the name Brent Renaud.

Brent Renaud who is also a notable journalist passed on Sunday, March 13, 2022, after being shot to death by Russian soldiers in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian authorities said he was killed in Irpin, a suburb that has been the site of intense shelling by Russian forces in recent days, but the details of his death were not immediately clear.

Anton Gerashchenko, an adviser to Ukraine’s interior minister, said in a statement that Mr. Renaud “paid with his life for attempting to expose the insidiousness, cruelty, and ruthlessness of the aggressor.”

Why was Brent Renaud Killed by Russian Soldiers?

Kyiv’s police chief Andriy Nebytov said Brent Renaud had been targeted by Russian soldiers. However, two other journalists who were also wounded have been conveyed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Brent Renaud Career As A Journalist

Brent Renaud contributed to  the Times in earlier years, generally as of late in 2015, however he was not on task for the organization in Ukraine.

Early reports that he was working for the New YorkTimes in Ukraine circled on the grounds that he was found with a Times press identification that had been given for a task years prior.

Mr Renaud regularly worked with his sibling, Craig Renaud, and won a Peabody grant for a Vice News narrative about a school in Chicago.
