Zackary Grant Britton, previously known, is an American professional baseball pitcher who currently pitches for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball (MLB). He used to be a member of the Baltimore Orioles. He was on December 22, 1987, in Panorama City California.
Britton was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the third round of the 2006 MLB draft. Britton led the American League in saves in 2016 and has been named to the AL All-Star team two years in a row. He was then selected in the third round of the 2006 Major League Baseball draft, with the 85th overall pick. He turned down a $200,000 signing bonus in exchange for accepting a professional deal and foregoing college.
Britton was dealt with by the New York Yankees on July 24, 2018, in exchange for Dillon Tate, Cody Carroll, and Josh Rogers. Britton finished the 2018 season with a 2.88 ERA in 25 appearances for the Yankees. From 2016 to 2018, his 1.86 ERA was the lowest in big league baseball among pitchers who pitched 100 innings or more. On January 11, 2019, Britton agreed to a three-year deal with the Yankees, with a fourth-year option.

For his freshman year, he went to Canyon High School. He fractured his skull and clavicle, as well as bleeding in the brain while falling headfirst onto concrete while attempting to catch a foul popup during baseball practice with the freshman squad. He was in intensive care for two days.
Britton transferred to Weatherford High School once they moved to Texas. He was an all-state outfielder as well as a pitcher for the baseball team. Britton was given the opportunity to attend Texas A&M University on an athletic scholarship.
