Kyle Higashioka Biography
Kyle Harris Higashioka, a catcher for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball, was born on April 20, 1990. (MLB). He was selected in the seventh round of the 2008 MLB Draft and debuted in the big leagues in 2017.
Higashioka went to Huntington Beach, California’s Edison High School. He was a member of the baseball team at his high school and committed to play collegiate baseball for the California Golden Bears at the University of California, Berkeley. Ted, his father, is a Japanese American of the third generation.
Kyle learned Japanese to reconnect with his roots and converse more effectively with Masahiro Tanaka, a former colleague. Higashioka learned Spanish in high school and communicated with his Latin American teammates in that language.
Higashioka told his mother, Diane, that he would get a college diploma, and he is currently enrolled at Orange Coast College, where he is studying mechanical engineering.
