Who did Calvin Ridley bet on?

Calvin Riley placed a bet on the Falcons. The game ended when the Falcons defeated the  Jaguars 21–14.

The wager consisted of multiple-leg parlays, such as three-, five-, and eight-game parlays.

Ridley bet on NFL games during a five-day period in late November when he was not with the team and away from the Falcons’ facilities on the non-football illness list, according to a news release from the league.

Ridley placed the bets through a mobile app in Florida, and regulators there saw strange activity and reported it to Genius Sports, the company that manages statistics and sports betting information for the NFL, according to a source familiar with the investigation’s results.

The NFL conducted an investigation and found no evidence that “any inside knowledge was used or that any game was compromised in any manner,” and that no coaches, team personnel, teammates, or other players were aware Ridley was betting on games, according to the release.

In a note telling Ridley of his suspension, Goodell stated, “There is nothing more vital to the NFL’s success  and to the reputation of everyone affiliated with our league  than protecting the integrity of the game.”

“Every player, coach, owner, game official, and anybody else hired in the league is responsible for this.”

Your conduct jeopardized the game’s integrity, harmed public trust in professional football, and could jeopardize the reputations of your fellow players across the league.
