Calvin Ridley is a professional American football player who plays the position of a wide receiver for the Atlanta Falcons football team of the National Football League(NFL). Calvin was born December 20, 1994, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the United States to Colin Ridley, father and Kassna Daniels, mother. He is the oldest of four brothers.

Calvin had his high school career at the Monarch High School in Coconut Creek, Florida. He played high school football for his school’s team and was honoured with a five-star rating as a recruit and was also considered to be the best receiver in the class of 2015 according to 247Sports, Rivals, and ESPN.

In his college career, he played for the University of Alabama from April 2014 till early 2018 when he decided to stop playing college football and go into the NFL.

He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons football team in January during the first round of the 26th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. In July that same year, the Falcons signed a four-year deal with him which is worth $10.9 million and comes with a $6.1 million signing bonus.

The Falcons will not pay Calvin Ridley for the entire 2022 football season. This is due to his indefinite suspension from the NFL games after he was caught betting on games when he was away from the organization last season.

The suspension also means he will lose his $11 million salaries for 2022.
