Did Calvin Ridley win his Bet?

Yes. Calvin Ridley won a bet when he placed a bet on the Falcons to win. The Falcons defeated the Jaguars 21–14 on Nov. 28.

According to a source, Falcons receiver Calvin Ridley placed many multi-leg parlay bets, including three-, five-, and eight-game parlays, and he did bet on the Falcons to win.

All of the wagers were made via a mobile app in Florida between November 23 and November 28. Ridley was caught using Florida’s only legal gambling app when the NFL was alerted by a compliance firm that the league hires for such events.

According to the NFL, Ridley will be suspended for “at least” the 2022 season. There was no proof that inside knowledge was exploited in the investigation.

Ridley, 27, bet on N.F.L. games during a five-day period in late November 2021 when he was away from the club to focus on his mental health, according to Commissioner Roger Goodell.

“No evidence indicating any inside information was used or that any game was compromised in any manner,” Goodell said in a statement following a probe.

“Neither did there appear to be any evidence that his betting behavior was known by his coaches, staff, teammates, or other players.”

Ridley replied on Twitter shortly after the suspension was announced: “I bet 1500 total I don’t have a gambling issue,” later adding that he couldn’t watch football at the time.
