Superstar Beyoncé opened the Oscars with a bang with her presentation of “Be Alive” from the film, “Ruler Richard.”

The vocalist, who is named for her first Oscar, honored Compton, California, with her pre-recorded exhibition, which was shot on a tennis court in the city.

Tennis players Serena and Venus Williams additionally honored their old neighborhood when they presented the vocalist before her exhibition.

“We are glad to be joined by some exceptionally extraordinary film darlings at a spot that has had such a significant influence in our lives,” Venus said.

“Our old neighborhood tennis courts in the core of the wonderful Compton, the energetic center of L.A., where we genuinely woke up as youthful competitors,” Serena proceeded.
