Russia remained solitary Friday to reject a U.N. goal denouncing its “severe” intrusion of Ukraine, killing the action – until further notice.

However, any remaining individuals in the grave meeting of the U.N. Security Council either cast a ballot in favor or declined, a demonstration of rounds of escalated political requests by the Biden organization.

The U.S.- drafted measure, which requests the prompt, complete, and unequivocal withdrawal of the Russian soldiers battering Ukraine, was supported by 11 individuals.

Most remarkably, China remembered to be in Moscow’s corner, went without. So did two U.S. partners, India and the United Arab Emirates, which is a mistake for the U.S.

The U.N. vote was delayed two hours for last-minute negotiations by the United States and others to win the Chinese abstention, diplomats said. Russia is a U.N. Security Council veto power, along with the United States, China, France, and Britain.

The draft Security Council resolution demanded that Russia “immediately cease its use of force against Ukraine” and “immediately, completely, and unconditionally withdraw  all of  its military forces from the territory of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.”

The draft also demanded that Russia reverse its recognition of two separatist states in eastern Ukraine as an independent.
