Don Young who happened to be the US representative for Alaska’s at-large congressional district from the year 1973 died on March 18, 2022. Reports have it that he died whiles traveling in a concourse to Alaska. Don Young was born on June 9, 1993, and died at the age of 88 years.
He was born in Sutter County, California, according to his early childhood. He has an associate’s degree from Yuba College and a bachelor’s degree from Chicago State College, according to his educational background. From 1995 until 1957, he served in the United States Army.
He worked as a builder, fisherman, gold miner, and trapper before entering politics. Young’s marine license was still valid at the time of his death.
When he stood for Congress against Democrat Nick Begich in 1972, he began his political career as a US congressman. The election resulted in Begich’s victory, but he died soon after and was replaced by Young. From there, he embarked on a political path that lasted to the present day.
Young on November 7, congratulated Joe Biden at the White House over his election win. He voted against the objections that came with votes recounting from Arizona and Pennsylvania.
