Giovanny Urshela Salcedo, simply known in baseball as Gio Urshela is a Colombian professional baseball third baseman for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball(MLB). He previously played for the Toronto Blue Jays and Cleveland Indians.

He made his professional debut in 2009, playing for the Dominican Summer League Indians and the Arizona League Indians. Gio later made his Major League Baseball(MLB) debut with Cleveland in 2015.

Gio signed with the Cleveland Indians as an international free agent in July 2008He played sparely for Cleveland in 2015 and 2017, he then played briefly for Toronto in 2018, before being traded to the Yankees for money considerations. Before the 2013 baseball season, he played for the Colombian national baseball team in the qualifiers for the World Baseball Classic, but the team lost to Panama and failed to qualify for the tournament.
