Iraqi footballer Haidar Abdul-Razzaq Hassan played for Sulaymaniya FC and the Iraq national team as a defender.
When it came to defense, Haidar Abdul-Razzaq was a talented all-around player who could fill in just about anywhere.
It was in 1995 that he made his professional debut for the Talaba youth squad after previously playing goalkeeper for Al-Shurta youth club.
Coach Nazar Ashraf selected him as one of five players for the Talaba first team in 1996, and two years later, Adnan Hamad selected him for the Iraqi Under-17 national team.
When he was a member of the Iraqi Under-19 national team, he played for the same coach. defeating Japan in a thrilling final of the AFC Youth Championship.
In Iraq’s 2002 World Cup qualifications, Haidar was called up by Milan Zivadinovic and made his international debut against Lebanon in Beirut on January 31st, 2000 in a goalless draw.
He appeared in the 2002 World Cup qualifiers against Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Iran while Iraq was managed by Rudolf Belin from Croatia.
It was after the end of the war that he returned to Talaba and established himself as one of their most important defenders on the Olympic team.

Haidar Abdul-Razzaq’s cause of death is unknown. He died at the Neurological Wholesale Hospital in Baghdad.
