Hunter Dozier is a professional baseball player who takes the position of the third baseman for the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball(MLB). With a height of 1.93m, Hunter was born on August 22, 1991, in Wichita Falls, Texas in the United States.
For his amateur baseball career, Hunter started at the Denton High School in Denton, Texas, where he played for the school’s baseball. He played as a shortstop for the baseball team. After high school, he went ahead to play college baseball for the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks baseball team at the Stephen F. Austin State University.
In 2013, during the eighth overall MLB selection draft, the Kansas City Royals selected him and he signed with them for a $2.2 million signing bonus. From 2013 to 2016, he began to play in several minor league teams affiliated with the Royals.
He was finally promoted to the major leagues by the Royals in September 2016. On September 12, 2016, he made his MLB debut for the Royals. On February 28, 2021, Hunter and the Royals agreed and signed a four-year contract extension of $25 million with a $10 million option for the 2025 baseball season.
