James Wade is an English professional darts player, currently playing in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). When he won the 2007 World Matchplay at the age of 24, he became the youngest player to win a major PDC title.
Michael van Gerwen has since broken this record. To put Wade in third place on the all-time PDC majors list, he has won eleven tournaments.
Additionally, Wade has won the World Grand Prix in 2007 and 2010, the UK Open in 2008, 2011, and 2021, the Premier League in 2009, the Championship League in 2010, the Masters in 2014, the European Championship, and the World Series of Dart Finals in 2018.
Wade’s best place in the PDC Order of Merit was second, which he achieved at the height of his career. With the best finish in the semi-finals in the PDC World Darts Championship, he has yet to win.
Wade began his darts career in 2001 with the British Darts Organisation (BDO), and he later switched to the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) the following year.
IDL tournaments in 2004 and 2007 were his finest BDO tournament performances, both reaching the quarterfinals on both occasions.
