WHO ARE THE TORONTO BLUE JAYS?

The Toronto blue jays are a professional baseball team located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. which is part of the Eastern Division of Major League Baseball’s American League.

The team is said to have its name been picked from the name of the bird that is known as Blue Jay and has the blue colour in it symbolizing the traditional colour of Toronto’s other professional sports teams.

Toronto Blue Jays were founded in 1977 and have since had its home stadium been the exhibition stadium and started playing its game at the SkyDome upon its opening in 1989.

The team is currently owned by Rogers communication and has its general manager is Ross Atkins and the manager been, Charlie Montoro.

The Toronto Blue Jays have won the AL East Divison titles on 6 different seasons with their first win being in 1985 and the last being in 2015.

1985 Season

The Toronto Blue Jays won their first Al east division title in 1985 when they finished in first place after winning 92 of their games and losing 62 of them.

1989 Season.

The 1989 season was a season that happened to be the 13th  major  league baseball which they won 89 games and lost 73

1991 Season

Toronto Blue Jays won its 15th season of Major league baseball which saw the franchise winning the American League East with 91 wins and 71 losses.

1992 Season

The Toronto Blue Jays 1992 season saw the team winning their 16th Season of Major League which happened to be their fourth time of winning the American league east with a win of 96 games and 63 losses.

1993 Season

The 1993 season also saw the team winning the American League East which happened to be their franchise’s 17th season of Major league baseball which they 95 wins and 67 losses.

2015 Season

The 2015 season had the longest playoffs drought for the team in the American professional sport on September 25th which happened to be the 35th franchise season for the Toronto Blue Jays
