Miguel Enrique Andujar, a Dominican professional baseball third baseman and left fielder for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball, was born on March 2, 1995. In 2017, he made his MLB debut. Andjar was born in the Dominican Republic’s San Cristóbal.

In July 2011, Andujar signed as an international free agent with the New York Yankees. With the Gulf Coast Yankees, he made his professional debut in 2012.

He spent the 2013 and 2014 seasons with the Gulf Coast Yankees 2 and the Charleston RiverDogs of Class A South Atlantic League, respectively. In 2015, Andujar was a member of the Tampa Yankees of the Florida State League’s Class A-Advanced division.

He began 2016 with the Tampa Bay Rays before being promoted to the Class AA Eastern League’s Trenton Thunder. He played in the Arizona Fall League after the 2016 season. After the season, the Yankees added him to their 40-man roster.

Andujar started the 2017 season with Trenton, where he batted.312 with seven home runs and 52 RBIs, which led the Eastern League through 67 games. Gleyber Torres was promoted to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders of the Class AAA International League after suffering a season-ending injury in June.

With a sprained wrist, Andujar was put on the injured list in early July. On August 23, Andujar was placed on the 60-day disabled list following a setback in his rehabilitation.
