Nick Pivetta is a professional Canadian baseball player from Canada who plays as a pitcher for the Boston Red Sox baseball team of the Major League Baseball(MLB).
Nick was born on February 14, 1993, in Canada. He had his secondary school education and amateur career at Lambrick Park Secondary School in Saanich, British Columbia where he played for the Canadian Junior National Team from 2009 to 2012. He further went to college at New Mexico Junior College where he played baseball and graduated in 2013.
After graduation, Nick was selected by the Washington Nationals team in the fourth round of the 2013 MLB draft. He signed with the Nationals for a salary of $364,300 and made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast Nationals of the Rookie Gulf Coast League around the same period.
The Nationals traded Nick to the Philadelphia Phillies in July 2015. In 2017, he was promoted to be on the Phillies 25-man roster. The very day he was placed on the roaster, he made his MLB debut for the team. He pitched for the Phillies for five good years before they traded him to the Boston Red Sox.
Nick has been with the Bostons since then and in September 2020, he was added to Boston’s active roster. He recently got married to Kristen Pivetta.
