An NYC Department of Correction captain, Tandra Bowser-Williams who worked on Rikers Island allegedly died as a result of a Brazilian butt-lift from an unauthorized practitioner.

Williams was 49 years old at the time of her death and is being succeeded by her son and her husband Curtis Williams.

Tandra’s husband of 26 years Curtis Willimas has paid his tributes to his now-deceased wife describing her as a dedicated mother who had a “nerve of steel”.

Her colleagues at Rikers have also paid their tributes to her. Patrick Ferraiuolo, Chairman of the prison officers union told the Daily News “She was a good captain, never tried to escape work, always worked in the prisons, always worked with the inmates… Its a real loss. She certainly didn’t deserve that. She was a soldier”.

According to reports, the 49-year-old woman traveled to the Dominican Republic to undergo a fat transfer operation at the doctor’s Centro Internacional de Cirugia Plastica Avanzada facility in Santo Domingo, which specializes in butt lifts and fat transfers.

Tandra Bowser-Williams suffered a catastrophic stroke after undergoing surgery with Dr. Hector Cabral, who was previously prosecuted in New York for doing unlawful plastic procedures. The surgery was performed on May 13, but she died of a stroke on May 14.
