According to Naomi Judd’s devastated family, the date for her burial and memorial service has been planned for Monday, May 9, 2022.
Judd’s funeral will be shown live on a variety of television networks.
Naomi committed suicide after years of sadness, according to multiple sources, just one day before she was to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame alongside Wynonna.
Ashley and Wynonna were also present at the ceremony and paid moving tributes to their mother. Wynonna explained, “I didn’t prepare anything tonight because I knew Mom would probably talk the most”.
“I’m going to make this quick because my heart is crushed and I’m so grateful. Being both broken and blessed creates a strange dynamic.”
The family, which includes Naomi’s 32-year-old husband, Larry Strickland, has requested privacy while they prepare for Naomi’s funeral.
Because no information has been given, it is unknown if the service will be private or public. While it’s safe to expect that Naomi’s loved ones will be present, one family member will be unable to attend.
Naomi Judd was born to Pauline Ruth ‘Polly’ Oliver Judd and Charles Glen Judd on January 11, 1946, in Ashland, Kentucky, United States. Her father had a convenience store.
Naomi Judd and her daughter have a combined total of twenty top-10 hits (including fifteen at number one) and have won all three major country music awards ceremonies for the past eight years.
Among other awards, they received five Grammys. With the Judds’ smash “Love Can Build a Bridge,” she earned a Grammy for Country Song of the Year.
