Where is Corey Kluber Now? Corey Kluber Current Team

Corey Kluber is currently with the Tampa Bay Rays.

In an announcement made on Wednesday, the Tampa Bay Rays announced that they and free agent right-handed starting pitcher Corey Kluber had reached an agreement on a one-year contract.

Reports from Joel Sherman of the New York Post state that the agreement is worth $8 million and includes incentives.

Despite missing the first two seasons of his career due to injuries, Kluber went 5-3 with a 3.83 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, and 82 strikeouts in 80 innings for the New York Yankees last season.

Once upon a time, the three-time All-Star and two-time Cy Young Award winner who has also finished third in the Cy Young vote on two occasions was considered an elite-tier ace in his hometown of Cleveland.

There was a period of time last season when it appeared as though he was regaining his mojo and playing well. From April 27 to May 19, Kluber went 4-0 with a 1.78 earned run average in five starts, the last of which was a no-hitter.

The following time he played, he was forced to leave with a shoulder injury and didn’t return until August 30. In his last six outings, he has a 5.40 earned run average.
