Where was Taylor Hawkins Found?
Hawkins was discovered dead in his hotel room in Bogota, Colombia, according to reports cited by the Associated Press.
The band was on its way to Bogota, Colombia, after a South American tour. The Foo Fighters had just finished playing a festival show in San Isidro, Argentina, when Hawkins passed away.
The band made the announcement official on Twitter this evening (March 25th) (see below). Hawkins was found dead while on tour with the band, but the cause of death has not been revealed.
The drummer of the Foo Fighters had recently celebrated his 50th birthday.
Hawkins was a drummer for Alanis Morissette before joining the Foo Fighters. With Morissette, he participated in videos for “You Oughta Know,” “All I Really Wanna, and “You Learn,” among others.
Prior to joining Foo Fighters as a drummer, Hawkins toured with Sass Jordan and worked with a number of other bands.
