Zackary Grant Britton known professionally as Zach Britton until February 2019, is an American professional baseball pitcher for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for the Baltimore Orioles. The Baltimore Orioles selected Britton in the third round, with the 85th overall selection, of the 2006 Major League Baseball draft. He accepted a $200,000 signing bonus to sign a professional contract and not attend college.

Despite the fact that he was the Orioles’ best pitcher genuinely during spring preparing, he was relied upon to begin the 2011 mission in the minors when he was optioned to the Norfolk Tides on March 29.
