Melvin Ingram III is an American football linebacker and defensive end for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He was born on April 26, 1989, in Hamlet, North Carolina in the United States. He attended Richmond Senior High School in Rockingham, North Carolina.
Melvin Ingram went to the University of South Carolina, where he played for mentor Steve Spurrier’s South Carolina Gamecocks football crew from 2007 to 2011. He was a first-group All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) determination and was perceived as an agreement All-American.
Melvin Ingram was chosen by the San Diego Chargers with the eighteenth in general pick in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He later signed a one-year agreement with the Pittsburgh Steelers on July 20, 2021.
