The Baltimore Ravens are a member of the National Football League (NFL) and play their home games in Baltimore. The team’s headquarters are located in Owings Mills, Maryland, and M&T Bank Stadium is their home ground.
After barely being in existence since 1996, the Baltimore Ravens have already won two Super Bowl titles. Good quarterback performance is still needed to win the championship for the club that has been recognized for its defense. The Ravens’ starting quarterback rotation during the course of the team’s 21-year history reflects the fact that the position has never been particularly strong for the team.
Here is a list of 5 of the Best Baltimore Ravens Quarterbacks of All Time
Joe Flacco
As a rookie in 2008, Flacco was drafted 18th overall by the Baltimore Ravens and started all 16 games. They finished with an impressive 11-5 record and got to the AFC Championship Game, where they fell to the Steelers. The Ravens won the Super Bowl with Flacco as their undisputed quarterback, setting nearly every passing record in the league and leading them to a near-perfect postseason.
Lamar Jackson
In college, Jackson was an explosive runner and showed off a powerful arm, but he struggled as a passer. He threw for 3,127 yards, 36 touchdowns, and only six interceptions in 13 games won. On the ground, he rushed for 1,206 yards and six touchdowns.
Vinny Testaverde
The Ravens’ first starting quarterback, Testaverde, threw 51 touchdown passes in 29 games to keep the team in contention. Testaverde went to the Pro Bowl in Baltimore’s debut season, despite only being the starter for two seasons (1996-1997). He threw for 4,177 yards and 33 touchdowns.
Steve McNair
With his assured manner, McNair guided the Ravens to their finest regular season (13-3). As soon as the Ravens chose Tennessee Titans wide receiver Vince Young in the 2006 NFL Draft, they traded for McNair.
Trent Dilfer
Dilfer lasted six years in Florida and was selected to one Pro Bowl, but he never lived up to the expectations placed on him when he was selected. In the off-season of 2000, the Ravens agreed to a one-year contract with him.
