Who Is Cory Undlin?
Cory Undlin is an American football coach who now serves as the passing game specialist and secondary coach for the National Football League’s San Francisco 49ers.
Cory Undlin was born on June 29, 1971, in the Minnesota town of St. Cloud. Undlin attended California Lutheran University, where he was a safety for the football team from 1990 to 1994, and graduated in 1994.
In 1993, he earned the distinction of being named to the second team of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. He was a teammate and roommate of Ben McEnroe while attending Cal Lutheran.
Undlin began his coaching career as a linebackers coach at his alma mater, California Lutheran, where he worked from 1998 to 1999. As defensive coordinator in 2000, he kept the role until moving to Fresno State University in 2001.
He has been with the school since. He worked as a graduate assistant at Fresno State for two seasons in 2002 and 2003, under the direction of head coach Pat Hill, who was a former assistant coach with the Cleveland Browns under Bill Belichick.
