Joe DeCamillis Biography.
Joe DeCamillis, an American football coach for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League, was born on June 29, 1965. He is the special team’s coordinator for the team (NFL).
DeCamillis spent two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars as their special team’s coordinator. He formerly worked as a coach for the Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Atlanta Falcons, and Jacksonville Jaguars, among others.
DeCamillis was a wrestler before pursuing a career in football. In college, he didn’t play much football. DeCamillis competed for the University of Wyoming and was an All-American after finishing eighth in the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships in 1988.
His coaching career began when he was in high school. DeCamillis signed with the Bears on January 16, 2013.
He was originally appointed as a special teams coach and assistant head coach by the Bears after being interviewed for the role of head coach. Jeff Rodgers took the place of DeCamillis on January 19, 2015. He was also hired by the Denver Broncos in the year 2015.
In January, he was also hired by the Jacksonville Jaguars as the team’s special coordinator. Then in January 2021, he assumed the same position in Los Angeles Rams.
