Which Team Does Wes Phillips Currently Coach?
Wes Phillips is the coach for the Los Angeles Rams and the current pass game coordinator and tight ends coach.
After his playing days were over, Phillips returned to UTEP to work as a student assistant for one more season. As a quarterbacks coach at West Texas A&M University in 2004, he was given the job. With an 8–1 record and the best passing offense in NCAA Division II, the Buffaloes won the Lone Star Conference in 2005.
It was Phillips who helped quarterback Dalton Bell become a Harlon Hill Trophy finalist. Phillips was hired as Baylor’s head coach in 2006 after serving in the same post for two years.
Phillips joined the Los Angeles Rams as tight ends coach on February 12, 2019, reuniting him with both McVay, who is now the team’s head coach, and his father, who is the team’s defensive coordinator. In 2020, he remained with the company, despite the fact that his father had left.
What Is Wes Phillips’ Coaching Position?
In addition to his position as tight ends coach, he will hold the position of pass game coordinator in 2021. When the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI, Phillips earned his first Super Bowl ring.
