Andy Heck was a student at the W.T. Woodson High School in Fairfax, Virginia. He also studied at the University of Notre Dame where he received a scholarship to play football.
Heck was a first-team All-America selection and co-captain of Notre Dame’s 1988 national championship team, which went 12-0.
He started his first three seasons at Notre Dame as a tight end before switching to tackle in spring exercises his senior year. Heck was an offensive lineman in the NFL for 12 seasons (1989-2000).
