Dwayne Haskins Jr. (May 3, 1997 – April 9, 2022) was an American football quarterback who spent three seasons in the National Football League.
He played collegiate football at Ohio State, where he earned the Sammy Baugh Trophy and was named the Rose Bowl MVP in 2019.
He was a member of the Washington Redskins / Washington Football Team and the Pittsburgh Steelers in the National Football League. He was struck by a vehicle and killed at the age of 24.
Haskins was born in Highland Park, New Jersey, and relocated to Potomac, Maryland, with his family while he was in the ninth school.
From 2013 through 2016, he attended Bullis School and played football there, passing for 5,308 yards and 54 touchdowns.
He chose the University of Maryland over Rutgers University to play collegiate football, but after Maryland football coach Randy Edsall was dismissed in the middle of the season, he opted to attend Ohio State University.
