Zachary Taylor (born May 10, 1983) is an American football coach who currently serves as the head coach of the National Football League’s Cincinnati Bengals (NFL). From 2017 to 2018, he was an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Rams, and from 2012 to 2015, he was an assistant coach for the Miami Dolphins.
Taylor played college football for the University of Nebraska–Lincoln from 2005 to 2006. He was the starting quarterback during that time. Taylor guided the Bengals to their first winning season since 2015 after only six wins in his first two years in Cincinnati.
Zac Taylor was hired assistant quarterbacks coach for the Miami Dolphins of the NFL on January 30, 2012. He previously worked as an assistant coach at Texas A&M under his father-in-law, former head coach Mike Sherman. Following the resignation of the previous offensive coordinator, Bill Lazor, he was appointed interim offensive coordinator on November 30, 2015.
The Dolphins were 2-3 and averaged 17 points per game during Taylor’s five games as offensive coordinator, a little slide from their per-game average under Lazor, however, Interim Coach Dan Campbell praised Taylor’s work.
